Find Out About Friday - Three Tips to Help You Get those Christmas Cards Finished

If you are in the UK we have just a few days left to get those Christmas cards in the post and please don't tell me I am the only one who has not finished making and writing my Christmas Cards!  So for this week's Find Out About Friday I thought I would share three tips to help you get them finished and in the post on time!
3 Tips to help you get those Christmas Cards Finished on Time

So when is on time - The last recommended posting dates within the UK are Wednesday 18th December for Second Class Post and Friday 20th December (that is just one week today) for first class post.

Time is of the essence so let's get straight to those tips ..

Tip 1 - Make a List and Check it Twice!

Knowing exactly who you still need to make and send cards to is where it all starts - but this is a list with a difference!  Rather than writing a list on one piece of paper write an envelope for each card you need to send.

Now not only do you know how many cards you need to make, but your envelopes are ready to go too!  Progress :-)

Tip 2 - Pick One Design that is Quick and Easy to Make ...

Many of us love designing cards and taking our time making intricate cards.  Now is not the time for that!  Now is the time to embrace the clean, stylish, straightforward side of your card making.  With time being so short, consider remaking one of your previous cards with a few changes to make it festive, or searching the internet - including of course this blog for ideas.  I have compiled a Pinterest Board here with some of my fast Christmas Cards to make this even simpler for you.

Tip 3 - Have Fun and Make it Happen!

Once you have chosen your design, clear a table, gather just the supplies you need and working in a production line style get making.  Cut all your layers, fold all your bases, stamp everything you need to, punch everything out and then assemble everything)

You might want to enlist some help - anyone can punch out shapes and fold card for you and working with someone to chat to can make for a great way to spend some time!  Could someone be writing the card as you finish making them?  Add some music and you almost have a part going on and before you know it the cards will be made an in their envelopes

and then I have a bonus tip for you ... Don't as me how I learned this one suffice to say finding a pile of Christmas Cards in sealed envelopes with stamps on in early January is not a good feeling!  So the Bonus Tip is make sure you actually post them!

Good Luck finishing off those last Christmas Cards ... now I am off to cut some card!
