MDS Monday - And Now for Something Completely Different!

For this week's MDS Monday I am going to show you something a bit different that I have been doing using My Digital Studio... As some of you know in my non stamping life (yes there is one of those honest!) I do a lot with local theater groups and get involved with a number of shows each year, and MDS has helped me design logos for them.  Over the summer I was asked to help a group who wanted to put on a version of Stars in their Eyes to raise money for charity.  I was asked to put the video introductions to each contestant together - we had a lot of fun filming, but when I came to edit the videos together we needed something extra to make them really work - and this is what I came up with.

I was really pleased with how it helped the videos look slick not just on my screen but when projected to the back of the stage!  Currently I am working with some lovely people from the local villages to put on a pantomime early next year - and we needed a logo for Facebook and this is what we are using - so if you are local keep your eyes peeled early in the new year when tickets will go on sale for The Panto Games!  The show is very loosely based on the Hunger Games and that is what inspired this logo.

Sometimes the different areas of our lives overlap - and that happened for me at Stampin' Up!'s European Convention this year.  Traditionally the host nation do something to welcome the International Guests and Demonstrators to the annual award night.  Being as it is Stampin' Up!'s 25th anniversary year, the idea was put forward to do something a bit special this year and while some of us were on the Incentive Trip in Utah the idea of doing a Flash Mob was put forward.  The lovely Julie Kettlewell and I were asked to make it happen since we are both involved in local theater - Julie as a performer, me as a director and from a more technical side. Want to see what happened to our idea?

Did you spot the use of MDS - on the opening titles!  I used the Convention 2013 Photobook Template to make pictures which I inserted into the film while I was editing it.
